Job summary

Easygo Gaming is seeking a senior software engineer to lead scalable systems across our engagement platform. You will code, design, and mentor in a fast-paced environment that values learning and excellence.

The role blends hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, with hybrid on-site/off-site options in Melbourne. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in software engineering, strong TS/JS skills, and experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and modern SSR frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years hands-on software engineering, scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Typescript/JavaScript and SSR frameworks (Svelte preferred).
• Strong Node.js, REST, Kubernetes, WebSockets, design patterns.
• Distributed systems knowledge; leadership and mentoring ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within Engagement domain and collaborate across teams.
• Hands-on coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for quality and scalability.
• Write efficient, scalable code and participate in design discussions.
• Lead projects end-to-end and mentor peers to raise team performance.
• Communicate timelines, blockers, and status with stakeholders.
• Explore AI opportunities to automate team processes.
