Job summary

Easygo, a world-leading entertainment technology company, seeks a senior software engineer to join our Melbourne engineering team. You will help design and build large-scale, high-volume systems, influence architectural decisions, and mentor engineers to achieve engineering excellence.

You will contribute hands-on coding, collaborate with product managers, and apply TypeScript, Node.js, Kubernetes, and distributed systems practices to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years in software engineering with scalable systems.
• Proficiency in TS/JS frameworks (Typescript, Svelte; React/NextJS/Vue optional).
• Strong Node.js, REST APIs, Kubernetes, WebSockets/ Pub/Sub.
• Strong distributed systems knowledge and leadership experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within the Engagement domain and collaborate with adjacent teams.
• Actively engage in hands-on coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Lead and own projects or components from start to finish.
• Mentor peers and share knowledge within the team.
• Communicate timelines, deliverables, blockers, and project status with stakeholders.
• Investigate AI for automation of processes within the team.
