Job summary

Sydney Tools in Sydney, NSW is seeking a Senior Programmer to own end-to-end features on our e-commerce platform, spanning React/TypeScript frontends, server-side apps and database architecture.

You will contribute across the stack, handle deployments, and maintain production infrastructure to ensure high availability. The role offers a collaborative environment with direct ownership and opportunities to learn Elixir and BEAM, with strong mentoring.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional backend development in one of the listed languages.
• Strong concurrency understanding and relational DB skills.
• Experience with Linux production systems and deployments.
• Proficiency across stack: JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end-to-end features across the stack.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across app, DB and infra.
• Make architectural decisions and review peers' work.
• Operate production environment: deployments, maintenance, monitoring.
