Job summary

Blinq Technologies Pty Ltd. in Sydney is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate the core services that power our AI-native platform.

You’ll own features end-to-end—from discovery and data modelling through rollout and observability—and help the team scale for real-time contact sharing and lead capture. You'll work with Node.js and TypeScript, collaborate across product, web, mobile, and data teams, and mentor others.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript, async/event-driven architectures.
• Solid API design, data modelling, databases, and backend security.
• Experience in cloud environments; GCP preferred.
• Track record of owning complex technical work end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs.
• Own features end-to-end from discovery to rollout and observability.
• Build systems for high-volume, real-time experiences (contacts, leads, analytics).
• Improve reliability, performance, security, and testability.
• Collaborate with product, web, mobile, design, and data teams; mentor others.
