Job summary

Bridge IT Engineering is partnering with a major Federal Government client to recruit multiple Senior Azure Java Stack Software Engineers for a 12 Month contract with extensions. The role combines hands-on Full Stack Java engineering with technical leadership across backend services, APIs and data platforms in an Azure environment.

Qualifications

• Senior Full Stack Java Engineer with hands-on development and leadership.
• Experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise-scale Java applications.
• Strong backend focus with APIs, microservices and data platforms.
• Security-conscious and able to work in a regulated federal environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support secure Java applications.
• Develop backend services, APIs, microservices and enterprise integrations.
• Contribute across the full tech stack with backend emphasis.
• Own technical solutions from requirements to production deployment.
• Design scalable microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Work with REST/GraphQL, messaging, and high-volume data systems.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design across complex solutions.
• Operate in a Microsoft Azure-hosted enterprise environment.
• Apply CI/CD, automated testing and DevSecOps practices.
• Support release and deployment automation.
• Work with containers, IaC, and cloud-native tech.
• Improve reliability, security and maintainability of the platform.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams.
• Lead engineering standards and continuous improvement.
