Job summary

Bridge IT Engineering is partnering with a major Federal Government client to recruit multiple Senior Azure Java Stack Software Engineers for a 12 Month contract with extensions. The role combines hands-on Full Stack Java engineering with technical leadership across backend services, APIs and data platforms in an Azure environment.

Bridge IT Engineering is partnering with a major Federal Government client seeking multiple Senior Azure Java Stack Software Engineers (Developers) to support a mission-critical national intelligence platform.

About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on Full Stack Java Engineering opportunity focused on designing, developing, enhancing and supporting enterprise-scale applications and large data platforms.

Working within a highly technical delivery environment, you will contribute across backend services, APIs, integrations, distributed systems and modern web applications, with a strong backend focus. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, solution ownership and the opportunity to work on complex systems supporting national law enforcement and intelligence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Java Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support secure, scalable and highly available Java applications.
• Develop backend services, APIs, microservices and enterprise integrations.
• Contribute across the full technology stack, with a particular focus on backend engineering.
• Take ownership of technical solutions from requirements through to deployment and production support.
• Design and implement scalable microservices, event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Develop solutions across enterprise data and integration platforms.
• Work with REST and GraphQL APIs, messaging platforms and high-volume data environments.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture across complex enterprise solutions.
• Work within a Microsoft Azure-hosted enterprise environment.
