Job summary

Domain (part of CoStar Group) is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer - Operations to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud platform components on AWS. You will lead a high-performing team focused on reliability, security, and cost optimisation across complex cloud environments.

You will drive architectural improvements, automate toil, and apply ITIL principles to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. The role involves cross-team collaboration, vendor engagements, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, managing, and optimizing AWS cloud environments at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), FinOps principles, and developer experience best practices.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance of complex AWS cloud environments.
• Act as primary escalation point for platform issues, driving rapid incident response.
• Manage identity and access controls, ensuring secure provisioning and least Privilege.
• Drive cost optimisation initiatives using FinOps basics to maximise value.
• Review and evolve cloud architectures with Well-Architected framework for modernization and scalability.
• Oversee platform lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, and security governance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cloud engineering team and build client relationships.
