Job summary

CoStar Group's Domain team in Australia seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer - Operations to own the lifecycle of cloud platform components, focusing on AWS and cloud infrastructure. You will lead a high-performing engineering team to design, build, and continuously improve reliable, secure environments.

You'll drive cost optimisation, automate toil, implement ITIL practices, and collaborate across networking, security, application, and DevOps groups to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AWS design, deployment, and optimization at scale.
• Strong IaC expertise with Terraform/CloudFormation and FinOps.
• Deep knowledge of cloud networking, security, governance, and compliance.
• Proactive, outcomes-focused mindset with leadership and mentorship.
• Experience leading teams in Cloud/DevOps/Managed Services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation and performance of AWS cloud environments.
• Serve as primary escalation point for platform incidents and resolutions.
• Manage identity and access controls with least-privilege.
• Drive platform optimisation, security, and reliability improvements.
• Oversee cloud cost optimisation using FinOps practices.
• Mentor a high-performing cloud engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
