Job summary

Synechron is seeking a highly experienced Cloud & DevOps Architect to lead cloud migrations, platform modernization, and DevOps enablement for enterprise clients.

You will design scalable AWS architectures, implement IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation, and drive security, FinOps, and governance across AWS organizations. Strong leadership and client advisory skills required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years IT experience; 8+ years in AWS, DevOps & cloud architecture.
• Hands-on AWS services, serverless architectures, cloud security best practices.
• Strong Terraform and cloud automation experience; Docker/Linux/Nginx/ELK familiarity.
• Enterprise cloud governance, cost optimisation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud & DevOps Architect with strong AWS, IaC, and cloud-native architecture expertise to lead cloud migrations, platform modernization, and DevOps enablement initiatives for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure AWS architectures, including multi-account and landing zone setups using AWS Control Tower.
• Lead cloud migration programs, transforming on-premise and monolithic systems into cloud-native microservices architectures.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation for consistent, automated provisioning.
• Drive DevOps and CI/CD automation, improving deployment reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Harden and govern AWS IAM, security policies, and cost optimisation (FinOps) across AWS organisations.
• Design and optimise cloud networking using VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route53, VPC Endpoints, WAF, and Network Firewall.
• Build and deliver PoCs (e.g., MLOps, serverless automation using Lambda, EventBridge, Systems Manager).
• Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and client advisory across CCoE, platform, and DevOps teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 18+ years of overall IT experience with 8+ years in AWS, DevOps, and cloud architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, serverless architectures, and cloud security best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform (HashiCorp Certified Associate) and cloud automation frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, Linux, Nginx, ELK, WAF, databases (MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Proven experience in enterprise cloud governance, cost optimisation, and operational excellence.
• Strong background in architecture design, migration planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Certifications (Highly Preferred):

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
• AWS Security, Networking, Database - Specialty
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate

Nice to Have:

• Experience delivering client training and CCoE enablement.
• Exposure to MLOps platforms on AWS.
