Job summary

OMRON is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join the NSW team. You will manage and grow an established customer portfolio, focusing on End Users, OEMs and System Integrators, and drive profitable growth in industrial automation and robotics.

You will combine strong technical understanding with sales capability to build long-term customer partnerships and own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, business development or account management within industrial automation.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and end-to-end opportunity management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support and grow relationships with industrial End Users, identifying opportunities to expand OMRON's presence across their operations.
• Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities while strengthening partnerships with OEMs, System Integrators and other key industry stakeholders.
• Understand customer challenges and recommend tailored automation and robotics solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Manage the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, opportunity development, proposals, commercial negotiations and closing.
• Engage with key decision-makers and stakeholders to build strong relationships and identify opportunities for account growth.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, product and commercial teams to deliver effective customer solutions.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurate forecasts and customer activities through Salesforce (SFDC).
• Achieve sales and profitability targets while staying informed of market trends, competitor activities and emerging technologies.
• Any other reasonable tasks assigned by the direct manager.
