Senior Automation Engineer Position:
A senior, enterprise-level engineering role combining hands‑on delivery with technical direction, focused on intelligent automation, AI agents, DevOps and the evolution of testing and release automation across the organisation.
What are we looking for?
- 10+ years' experience across Automation Engineering, DevOps or Software Engineering, with proven experience providing technical direction across enterprise environments
- Strong background designing and evolving scalable automation solutions, CI/CD capabilities and technical standards across large technology environments
- Experience applying AI, Agentic AI and intelligent automation to testing, software development, deployment or release processes
- Strong understanding of CI/CD architecture, DevOps, pipeline automation, release orchestration and enterprise API integrations
- Strong Python and/or TypeScript capabilities, with experience across automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium and/or Cypress
- Experience across Azure, GCP and/or AWS, with exposure to ServiceNow Change Management and enterprise release tooling
- Proven ability to improve existing automation solutions, identify opportunities to automate across the SDLC and drive adoption across multiple engineering teams
- Strong technical leadership, solution design and mentoring experience, with the ability to influence senior engineering and technology stakeholders

- Practical experience applying AI, Agentic AI or AI agents to testing, software development, deployment or automation
- Hands‑on experience with API integrations, REST/GraphQL and automation frameworks, with exposure to Playwright, Selenium, Cypress and/or Appium
- Experience with ServiceNow Change Management and integrating release processes with CI/CD and enterprise tooling
- Strong understanding of engineering environments and experience working directly with squads to onboard automation solutions, improve pipelines and identify opportunities to automate across the SDLC
- Initial 6-month contracts with potential for extension
- ASAP start required (2 week notice max)
- Hybrid working environment - 2/3 days in office in Sydney, no other locations considered.
