Job summary

Agilent Technologies Australia is seeking a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to lead automated testing for ICP Expert and related platforms. You will design and maintain automated testing frameworks, ensuring quality and on‑time software delivery across desktop and enterprise applications.

You will drive the automation strategy, develop scalable tests, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with software development, product management, and quality engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years proven experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, Python, Java, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for desktop and enterprise software applications.
• Lead the automation strategy for ICP Expert and related product initiatives.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable automated tests using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality assurance.
• Collaborate with Software Development, Product Management, and Quality Engineering teams to define testing strategies.
• Analyze product requirements and technical designs to identify automation opportunities and quality risks.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve automation failures and test infrastructure issues.
• Support release activities by ensuring appropriate automated test coverage and execution.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes, automation coverage, and quality practices.
• Mentor and support team members in automation best practices and modern testing methodologies.
