Job summary

Agilent Technologies seeks a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to lead automated testing for ICP Expert and related platform initiatives. You will design, build, and maintain robust test frameworks, drive automation strategy, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong programming skills (C#, .NET, Python, Java), and collaboration with Software Development and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years proven experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, Python, Java, or similar.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Experience with UI, API, integration, and end-to-end test automation.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for desktop and enterprise software.
• Lead automation strategy for ICP Expert and related product initiatives.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable automated tests using industry tools.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with Software Development, Product Management, and Quality Engineering teams.
• Analyze requirements and designs to identify automation opportunities and risks.
• Investigate and resolve automation failures and test infra issues.
• Support release activities with automated test coverage and execution.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes and quality practices.
• Mentor team members in automation best practices and modern testing methodologies.
• Contribute to test planning, estimation, and technical decision-making.
