Job summary

Arventa in Australia seeks a Senior Automation Test Analyst to design, execute, and evaluate automated test scripts for high-quality software. You will lead QA automation framework improvements and evaluate tools like Postman, Selenium, and Cypress.

You will guide internal teams in implementing a robust QA strategy, set up reusable testing environments, and integrate CI/CD pipelines. Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams and API/UI automation experience are essential.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in QA consulting or test automation strategy.
Practical experience with API and UI automation tools (Postman, Selenium, Cypress).
Practical experience using AI tools, specifically Claude.
Proficiency with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver tailored solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with solid documentation practices.
Experience in cloud-based test automation and Azure DevOps integration or equivalent.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and consultancy/delivery teams.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business levels.
Experience developing/maintaining test harnesses across UI, API, and database layers.
Exposure to agentic or self-healing automation tools.
Awareness of broader testing needs to support comprehensive strategies.
Ability to monitor/report test activity, coverage and success metrics including manual testing.

Responsibilities

Rapidly review and assess existing QA landscape to identify automation improvements.
Select and implement suitable automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
Lead design/implementation of a reusable testing framework with CI/CD integration.
Set up new testing environments and reusable components for scalable automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing frameworks and coverage.
Support shift-left testing and embed quality early in the lifecycle.
Develop performance benchmarking and load testing suites.
Identify/test coverage gaps, dependencies, and testing risks.
Write bug reports and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution.
Support UAT and validation for quarterly releases.
Conduct system integration testing and verify end-to-end workflows.
Assist with data acquisition/processing for algorithms.
Monitor defects, quality metrics, and Agile workflow alignment.
