Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience end-to-end in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll requirements (PAYG withholding, Superannuation Guarantee, payroll tax, long service leave, workers' compensation, year-end reporting).
• Experience with third-party providers including EOR or global payroll platforms and coordinating multi-country cycles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process payroll for Australia-based employees, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Manage payroll inputs and validations, including variable pay, allowances, leave loading, absences, retroactive adjustments, final settlements, and Fringe Benefits.
• Manage statutory payroll reporting and remittances per Australian requirements, including PAYG withholding, superannuation, and year-end reporting.
• Coordinate payroll cycles, inputs, invoices, and issue resolution with partners across multiple countries.
• Reconcile payroll and benefits data, support reporting, and assist with month-end activities.
• Support employee lifecycle payroll administration (hires, changes, leaves, resignations, terminations).
• Maintain payroll-related processes in Workday and assist with benefits administration.
• Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries, maintain documentation, and support audits and continuous improvement.
• Provide backup support for other regional payrolls as needed.
