Job summary

MTP Services in Melbourne is seeking an experienced IT Database Designer to join their team. Working in an Agile delivery model, you will collaborate with Application, DevOps and Architecture teams to support the full database lifecycle—from design and build through to release and maintenance—focusing on enterprise databases and AWS Aurora/PostgreSQL across AWS environments.

You will contribute to building team capability through coaching and feedback, promote Agile practices, and help optimise

Qualifications

Experience with AWS RDS Aurora and PostgreSQL database design.
Ability to develop and optimise PostgreSQL queries, functions and triggers.
Experience delivering in an Agile environment and collaborating with DevOps.
Ability to monitor performance and implement proactive optimisation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Application, DevOps and Architecture teams to support the full database delivery lifecycle.
Deliver and support enterprise databases and platforms with emphasis on AWS Aurora/PostgreSQL across AWS environments.
Coach and train team members, promoting Agile practices and continuous improvement.
Design and implement PostgreSQL schemas, indexes and database artefacts to support business-critical applications.
