Job summary

Paxus is seeking a skilled Database Designer to sustain and optimise enterprise databases on AWS Aurora and PostgreSQL. You will collaborate with application, DevOps, and architecture teams in Agile environments to ensure security, performance, and resilience across national systems.

The role involves mentorship, ongoing improvement, and alignment with government platforms. NV1 security clearance is required, with work across Melbourne CBD, Brisbane CBD, or Wollongong.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with automated deployment pipelines, migration strategies, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in database design, optimisation, and management, particularly within cloud environments.
• Prior experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in government or large organisations is highly desirable.

Other Requirements:

• Must hold NV1 security clearance.
• Ability to work in Melbourne CBD, Brisbane CBD, or Wollongong.
• Flexibility to support project timelines and deliverables within a stipulated timeframe.
