Qualifications

• Must have deep internal audit expertise with evidence standards and reporting.
• Deep banking knowledge across customer value chains and operating models.
• Strong risk capability in conduct, regulatory, and resilience areas.
• Track record delivering medium to high complexity audits with defensible outcomes.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and communicate audit findings clearly.
• Experience applying data analytics to strengthen scoping, testing and conclusions.
• Experience developing audit teams and fostering a speak-up culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex and high-risk audit engagements across end-to-end customer value chains as Team Lead within the Australia Retail portfolio.
• Manage audit delivery to agreed timelines and budgets, escalations and issue follow-up.
• Contribute to annual audit planning with input on portfolio risks and coverage.
• Ensure risk identification and scoping focus on material risks and customer outcomes.
• Apply sound risk judgment and methodology discipline in audits.
• Embed data analytics and AI into audit planning and execution.
• Lead engagement with business stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships.
• Apply risk management frameworks to strengthen analysis and conclusions.
• Ensure findings are actionable, timely and linked to customer outcomes.
• Lead, coach and develop audit team members and foster a speak-up culture.
