ANZ in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Audit Lead to oversee Australia Retail audits. You will lead complex, high‑risk audits across end‑to‑end customer value chains, manage delivery to plan and budgets, and coach audit teams to strengthen assurance and outcomes.

You’ll apply data analytics, engage stakeholders, and apply risk frameworks to deliver findings that support customer outcomes and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Internal audit expertise: strong understanding of audit methodology, evidence standards, reporting and issue validation.
• Business acumen in banking: products, customers, channels and end‑to‑end value chains.
• Risk capability across conduct, fraud, regulatory, processing and resilience.
• Track record of delivering medium to high complexity audits.
• Stakeholder engagement: ability to engage senior stakeholders and communicate conclusions.
• Data enabled assurance: experience using data analytics to strengthen audit scope and testing.
• Leadership and culture: developing team members and fostering speak‑up culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex and high-risk audits across end-to-end customer value chains as Team Lead within the Australia Retail portfolio, delivering assurance aligned to the approved Internal Audit plan.
• Manage audit delivery to agreed timelines and budgets, ensuring productive use of resources and timely escalation of delivery risks.
• Contribute to annual audit planning activities, providing input on key portfolio risks and coverage considerations.
• Ensure effective risk identification and audit scoping, focusing on material risks and customer outcomes.
• Apply sound risk judgement and methodology discipline to audit work, conforming to standards.
• Embed data analytics and AI into audit planning and execution to strengthen insight and efficiency.
• Lead engagement with business stakeholders throughout audit delivery, maintaining relationships and escalating matters appropriately.
• Apply relevant risk management frameworks to strengthen testing and conclusions.
• Ensure audit findings and recommendations are value adding, timely and linked to customer outcomes.
• Lead, coach and develop audit team members and foster a strong speak‑up culture.
