Job summary

CBHS Health Fund Limited seeks an experienced assurance leader to shape and lead a second-line assurance approach across member outcomes, remediation work, operational processes and financial outcomes. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers potential for ongoing employment in a flexible, hybrid work environment with strong governance exposure.

You will test evidence, challenge senior stakeholders and deliver clear, defensible advice to executives and the Board, coordinating inputs from Risk,

Qualifications

• Senior experience in assurance, risk, audit, compliance or financial control within a complex regulated environment.
• Strong analytical judgement, professional scepticism and the ability to challenge senior stakeholders.
• Experience in private health insurance, financial services, member remediation or regulatory remediation is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent, risk-based assurance across reviews of member outcomes and remediation work.
• Assess methodologies, controls, calculations and outcomes for fairness and evidence.
• Provide assurance reporting and governance-facing advice to executives and Board.
• Identify material findings and escalate risks with sustainable corrective actions.
• Provide leadership and coordinate input across Risk, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit and external advisers.
• Build disciplined assurance and evidence practices across the organisation.
