Job summary

Barry Nilsson in Sydney seeks a Senior Associate to join its Health and Life Sciences team. You will work on healthcare product and medical malpractice claims, class actions and complex disputes for global and Australian clients.

You will gain exposure to regulatory investigations, disciplinary proceedings, coronial inquests and inquiries, collaborating with a team led by Toby Biddle, Kate Hickey and Natalie Aprea, who are committed to empowering your career.

Qualifications

• 4+ years PAE in litigation and insurance.
• Interest in healthcare and life sciences law.
• Able to manage own file load and build client relationships.

About the Role

An engaging opportunity awaits you as a Senior Associate in our Health and Life Sciences team in Sydney. You'll get to work on healthcare product and medical malpractice claims, class actions, mass tort litigation, and complex, brand-sensitive disputes for leading global and Australian healthcare and life sciences companies. You'll also get exposure to regulatory investigations, disciplinary proceedings, coronial inquests and commissions of inquiry. You'll collaborate with a team of specialists in their field headed up by Toby Biddle, Kate Hickeyand Natalie Aprea - principals who are committed to empowering you and your career progression.

About You

• you are an experienced practitioner (4+ years PAE) in the litigation and insurance, with an interest in healthcare and life sciences law;
• you can efficiently manage your own file load;
• you enjoy building client relationships and achieving excellent outcomes;
• you are a problem-solver who values collaboration and understands the importance of strong working relationships.
