HSBC Holdings plc in Sydney seeks a Senior Associate in Corporate Banking (International Middle Markets). You will partner with Relationship Directors to manage clients with turnover from $50m to $3b, including ASX Top 200 companies, across Australian and international markets.

You will independently handle complex transactions, apply credit skills, and support new business development while maintaining risk controls and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to successfully work with corporate customers with complex banking requirements.
• Experience in a corporate/institutional finance setting with understanding of banking products.
• Knowledge of relevant sectors (consumer, retail, diversified industrials, higher education, TMT) is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external parties.
• Strong corporate credit skills to review specialised credit papers.
• Familiarity with Australian security structures is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills across levels, including clients and credit risk personnel.
• High levels of self-motivation and time management.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients; identify needs and coordinate origination across products and geographies.
• Develop understanding of clients' industries to inform strategic dialogue and problem solving.
• Analyse financial statements and cash flows to identify risk and opportunities.
• Lead pitch-book efforts across product set and mobilise SMEs for meetings and discussions.
• Ensure adherence to credit policies, financial crime compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Relationship Service Manager to complete administrative tasks and reporting.
• Coordinate with Credit Office Manager/Analyst to finalize credit and legal tasks.
• Work with Coverage Banker to originate revenue opportunities and manage deal pipeline and call reports.
• Support KYC risk mitigation and distribution of due diligence materials.
• Maintain focus on risk management, governance, and a collaborative culture.
• Drive internal regional and global connectivity.
