Job summary

Maddocks is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Dispute Resolution & Litigation team in Sydney on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role involves handling a broad range of litigation matters including commissions and inquiries, competition and consumer law, IP disputes, defamation and regulatory matters, with practical advice for private and public sector clients.

• Significant broad litigation experience (advisory, mediation, hearings and litigation).
• Strong drafting and research skills.

• Experience in historic abuse claims or significant personal injury experience preferred.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Senior Associate for a 6 monthfixed term contract to join our innovative Dispute Resolution &Litigation team. In this role you will be involved in a diverserange of litigation matters, including commissions and inquiries,competition and consumer law, intellectual property disputes,defamation matters and various regulatory matters, providing soundand practical advice for private and public sector clients.

The work is complex and challenging which will see you workingclosely with leading partner Shaun Temby and alongside otherexceptional litigators and like-minded professionals in acollaborative team environment. You will be recognised for personalachievements and receive mentoring from senior team members toensure your professional skills continue to grow and develop.

About you

Ideally you will have:

• Significant broad litigation experience (advisory,mediation, hearings and litigation)
• Strong technical, drafting and research skills
• Impressive academic qualifications
• An engaging manner with excellent communication skills atall levels
• Well-developed negotiation skills and strong attention todetail
• Experience in historic abuse claims or significant personalinjury experience would be preferred
