Job summary

Shine Lawyers is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to lead and contribute to high-profile class actions and major commercial litigation. You will take a leading role on prominent cases, contribute to case strategy, manage discovery reviews, and assist investigations with mentorship from a skilled team.

You’ll balance autonomy with guidance, oversee a dedicated team, and collaborate closely with clients and funders to secure justice for award-winning matters in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior lawyer practising in major commercial litigation, including experience managing discovery review processes and the preparation of expert evidence.
• A desire to lead high performing legal teams.
• Strong legal analytical skills, project management skills, and attention to detail.
• The ability to work with and manage large volumes of complex documents and reports.
• A commitment to truly connect with those around you and work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Managing the conduct of multiple class actions, using case plans and effectively delegating and overseeing the supporting legal team.
• Providing strategic advice and updates to Shine’s partnered litigation funders on ongoing cases and investigations.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, providing regular and effective communication whilst managing expectations.
• Contributing to the origination, investigation and commencement of new class action opportunities.
• Assisting in class action investigations.
