Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced Asphalt Senior Project Manager to lead the North East Link project in Victoria, delivering civil and asphalt construction from planning through to completion. You will own commercial and operational performance, driving safety, quality, programme, cost and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' project management experience in civil construction/asphalt/infrastructure.
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience with budgets, forecasting and commercial outcomes.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Sound understanding of contracts, procurement and subcontractor management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Strong planning and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of allocated projects from planning through to completion.
• Ensure safety, on-time delivery, within budget and to specification.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and commercial performance.
• Lead project teams, including engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Manage contract administration, risk management and reporting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drive programme performance and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Support tender preparation, pricing and business development activities.
• Promote innovation and Zero Harm culture across project teams.
