Job summary

Australian Fluid Handling (AFH) is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join the Victoria-based team in Melbourne. You will own the end-to-end bid and proposal process, engage in pre-sales activities, and help shape technical solutions with OEMs, EPCs, and end-users.

Reporting to the Lead Applications/Tendering Manager, you will collaborate with Area Sales Managers, prepare technical and commercial quotations, review vendor inputs, and support project handover to ensure seamless

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas or related industries.
• Proficiency with rotating equipment, pumping systems, compressors, and API standards (610/685/675).
• Ability to develop technically compliant, cost-conscious solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end bid and proposal activities, including technical and commercial responses.
• Collaborate with Area Sales Managers to understand customer requirements and craft suitable solutions.
• Coordinate with OEMs, sub-vendors and suppliers for technical data, pricing and lead times.
• Support project handover and provide ongoing technical guidance to PMs and engineering teams.
