Job summary

Solera Holdings, LLC. is seeking a Senior Application Services Engineer to join a global support team responsible for 24x7 applications across multiple business units. You will collaborate with development and architecture teams to consolidate caching systems, message brokers, and centralize logging while strengthening product reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, on-call leadership, and improving architecture and monitoring, with exposure to cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong English communication across technical discussions.
• Experience with on-call support for critical customer-facing apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for 24x7 on-call incidents with quick troubleshooting and permanent fixes.
• Support Windows/Linux, multi-tier web apps, middleware, messaging, databases, networking.
• Deploy apps by building automation with GitHub, Ansible, and related tools.
• Install, configure, and tune middleware like sFTP, Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Redis, RabbitMQ, Graylog, Kafka, IBM MQ.
• Set up monitoring across all layers using NewRelic and resolve alerts quickly.
• Performance tuning, outage triage, and implementing short/long-term fixes.
• Migrate to cloud or on-premise data centers to optimize footprint and costs.
• Improve architecture and redundancy across legacy systems.
• Centralize logging in production environments (Graylog).
• Maintain up-to-date infrastructure docs and runbooks.
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce outages and speed fixes.
• Familiarity with public/private cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and VMware environments.
• Basic networking knowledge (F5, HAProxy).
• Lead own projects using Atlassian tools.
