Alt.vfx in Australia is seeking a Senior 3D Animator to join the creature team on an exciting new feature project. You will deliver high-quality character and creature animation for commercials and film, collaborating with directors, supervisors and leads to shape the approach and ensure consistency across shots.

Bring 4+ years of experience, strong body mechanics, facial and camera animation skills, and a proactive, mentoring mindset.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience creating character and creature animation for commercials, VFX Films and TV.
• Ability to deliver animation solutions for shot specific requirements such as body mechanics, facial animation, and camera animation.
• Team player who can mentor and manage as easily as rolling up your sleeves and doing it yourself.
• Positive team environment contributor with great company culture.
• Organised and even-tempered in a deadline focused work environment.
• Previs and motion capture experience a bonus.

Responsabilités

• Deliver consistent and quality key frame animation as well as animation using MoCap data.
• Partner with key creatives, supervisors and leads to develop the approach that ensures all elements achieve the desired look and continuity.
• Be able to work with a good degree of autonomy.
• Maintain shot quotas set by supervisors, production and leads, whilst identifying problematic shots that may affect delivery schedules and communicate concerns to Leads and Supervisors.
• Your work should demonstrate an experienced ability to define character personality, create fluid motion, organic movement and storytelling.
