Job summary

Telstra is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Android to design, build and optimise native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks. You will deliver secure, scalable software with automated testing and CI/CD, while collaborating with Product, Design and Architecture teams across Telstra's digital platforms.

You will own features end-to-end, mentor teammates, and drive engineering excellence in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Kotlin for native Android development.
• Strong understanding of modern Android architecture and modularisation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
• Deliver high-quality, secure and accessible software through automated testing, CI/CD practices and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability and production issues using debugging, profiling and observability tools.
• Own features end-to-end from design to release and production support.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Architecture and Engineering teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
