Job summary

Telstra is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialising in iOS to translate customer needs into scalable product capabilities across the end-to-end development lifecycle. You will apply deep technical expertise to design and deliver high-quality Native iOS features within Telstra's Self Service App and B2B platforms.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Architecture, Security and Operations, own features end-to-end, and mentor peers to uplift engineering standards in a fast-paced Agile,

Qualifications

• Advanced iOS development using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit and modern Apple frameworks.
• Strong engineering judgement with expertise in scalable architecture, reusable components and mobile best practices.
• Secure, accessible and quality-focused delivery supported by automated testing, CI/CD and modern development workflows.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production, performance and reliability issues in high-availability environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality native iOS applications and reusable components using modern Swift technologies, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to solution design, technical planning, estimation and architecture discussions, proactively identifying dependencies, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, secure coding practices, performance optimisation, accessibility and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features across the software development lifecycle, from design and development through to release, production support and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Design, Architecture, Security, Quality Engineering and Operations to deliver customer and business outcomes.
• Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, share knowledge and provide guidance that uplifts team capability, technical standards and engineering best practices.
