Job summary

Jarden is seeking a driven Senior Analyst to join the Technology Corporate Finance team in Sydney. You will support high‑quality advisory outcomes for clients and work with a Managing Director and others across the Corporate Finance & Advisory group.

Your focus will be building financial models, performing valuations, and contributing to M&A and capital markets assignments for Technology/Software assets, while managing multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven ability in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
• Experience in investment banking or Big Four valuations preferred (1–3 years).
• Exposure to Technology/Software clients or transactions desirable.
• Excellent communication and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Senior Analyst to join our Technology Corporate Finance team, where you’ll support the delivery of high-quality advice and transaction outcomes for our clients. You will report to the Managing Director, Head of Technology and collaborate with other members of the Corporate Finance & Advisory team, as well as clients and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain comprehensive financial models tailored to Technology / Software assets, to inform valuation, strategic decision-making, and transaction-related advice.
• Take an active role on a range of M&A and capital markets transactions, as well as strategic and valuation advisory assignments.
• Perform various valuation methods, including comparable companies analysis, precedent transactions, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), and Leveraged Buyout (LBO) analysis.
• Prepare and review materials relevant to advisory and transaction assignments, including Information Memoranda, Investor Presentations, and Board Reports.
• Conduct thorough independent research on industries and companies to inform strategic recommendations.
• Build and maintain client relationships through meaningful involvement in transactions and advisory work.
• Support diligence processes on potential investment opportunities for buy-side clients, including market analysis and risk assessment.
• Maintain a current view of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes in the Technology sector.

You will be a capable, high-performing, commercially aware professional with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You bring sound judgement, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure. You communicate with clarity and credibility with colleagues and clients.

In addition, you have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• One to three years’ experience in investment banking or Big Four valuations preferred
• Strong proficiency in financial modelling and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of valuation techniques
• Exposure to Technology / Software clients or transactions is desirable
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
