Job summary

Goldman Sachs Australia is seeking a seasoned equity research professional to join the Australia REITs sector team in Sydney/Melbourne to develop insights and investment ideas for clients.

The candidate should have 3+ years of equity research in REITs, CFA/CA or finance degree, strong modelling, excellent English communication, and a client-focused mindset to support sales and trading.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in equity research covering REITs or related sectors
• CA/CFA qualification and/or Bachelor/Master in finance/economics
• Strong understanding of Australia REITs sectors and macro economy
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Excellent modelling skills and solid accounting/financial fundamentals
• Highly analytical thinker and writer
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and deliver quickly
• Strong client marketing/relationship management skills
• Good time management and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze individual companies within the Australia REITs sector and publish investment opinions
• Collaborate with the REITs team on industry projects and cross-company analyses
• Produce regular research reports and sector views for clients and the firm
• Develop financial models and interpret market, economic, and political data
• Maintain relationships with Equities sales, traders, clients, and company management
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members to build skills
