Job summary

January Capital is seeking a senior investor to lead software and AI investments across Asia-Pacific. You will work with Partners from pre-seed to pre-Series A, owning opportunities from first meeting through diligence to execution.

You should bring deep technical depth to interrogate architecture, data, models and tooling, and will develop independent theses for Investment Committee. Expect significant autonomy in a small team.

Qualifications

• 2–8+ years in venture investing, company building, software, or AI leadership.
• Formal training in CS/AI/Engineering with hands-on tech experience.
• Ability to originate opportunities and form independent conviction.
• Ability to understand software and AI tech from architecture to data.
• Fluency with evolving AI ecosystem and experimentation.
• Founder empathy through prior startup experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Autonomous working style in a small partnership.

Responsibilities

• Lead investments end-to-end from first meeting to execution.
• Develop differentiated investment theses in AI infra, developer tools, software.
• Lead technical and commercial diligence and present to IC.
• Mentor junior investors and raise sourcing standards.
• Partner with founders post-investment, support product and hiring.
• Build and maintain January Capital's technical network.
