Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in a technical field (CS, AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering) from a top-tier university.
• 2–8+ years of experience in roles such as technical founder, software engineering, AI/ML research, or early-stage investing with a technical bias.
• Ability to work confidently with cutting-edge AI tools and platforms as a subject matter expert for the team.
• Demonstrated founder empathy through direct startup involvement or close collaboration with founders.
• Obsessed with products and the AI/software ecosystem; strong writing and communication skills.
• Curiosity in emerging technologies, products, and the people building them.
• Willingness to work across sourcing, diligence, portfolio support, and internal initiatives.
• Regional exposure and networks in SE Asia, US, Australia, or Greater China is favorable; Australia-based candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and lead investments in early-stage software and AI/ML across Australia & Asia-Pacific.
• Conduct technical and commercial diligence, including product architecture, team background, and go-to-market potential.
• Contribute to thesis development in software segments like developer tooling and SaaS infrastructure.
• Develop internal AI-forward tools and workflows to support decision-making and portfolio management.
• Engage with technical founders and academic/research talent across SEA, Australia, US and China.
• Support portfolio companies post-investment on strategic initiatives and partnerships.
• Contribute to firm-building activities such as content, events, and knowledge infrastructure.
