Job summary

Westpac seeks a senior individual contributor to own complex AI workstreams from design to production. You will deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions across software, data, AI, integration and user experience while mentoring engineers and improving shared delivery patterns.

You will ensure safe model governance, robust deployment, and reliable operational support, with a focus on secure, scalable production systems and clear technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Own a complex workstream or major feature set from design through production and support.
• Build AI-powered full-stack solutions spanning software, data, AI, integration and UX.
• Create reliable contracts across data, services, AI components, user journeys and systems.
• Engineer safe model and agent behaviour with controls, evaluation and monitoring.
• Own versioning, deployment, rollback, recovery and incident support.
• Review designs and code; mentor engineers and surface risks early.
