Job summary

Talent International is seeking an experienced Senior AI, Copilot & Automation Engineer in Melbourne to design, build and deploy secure, enterprise-grade AI and automation solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. You will drive opportunities from discovery through pilots to production, delivering scalable AI-enabled processes.

The role focuses on hands-on implementation using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Fabric while ensuring governance, security and production readiness

Qualifications

• Experience delivering enterprise AI, software, data or automation solutions.
• Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Foundry, or comparable generative AI platforms.
• Microsoft Copilot Studio and enterprise agent development.
• Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, data ingestion, Lakehouse/Warehouse patterns and Power BI.
• Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Dataverse.
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), grounding, prompt/instruction design and agent orchestration.
• Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, cloud security, logging and monitoring.
• Responsible AI, privacy, cybersecurity and data governance.
• Moving AI solutions beyond prototypes into secure production environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Azure AI Search, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, API Management, Azure Functions or Logic Apps will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and deploying enterprise AI, Copilot and agentic solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI services.
• Building AI agents using organisational knowledge, workflows and APIs, with appropriate controls, escalation pathways and human oversight.
• Designing AI-ready data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, semantic models and Power BI.
• Developing automated business processes using Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse and AI Builder.
• Integrating AI and automation solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and other enterprise platforms through APIs and connectors.
• Partnering with stakeholders to identify high-value AI opportunities and develop proofs of concept and controlled pilots.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on designing, building and deploying secure, enterprise-grade AI and automation solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. You will take business opportunities from discovery and proof of concept through controlled pilots and into sustainable production solutions.

It is a 6 months contract role with possible extensions.
