Job summary

Qualifications

AI Engineer

Our client, a well-established organisation investing heavily in AI innovation, is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join their team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of designing, building, and deploying AI and Agentic AI solutions that solve genuine business problems, not proof-of-concepts that never leave the lab.

About the Role

As the AI Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert in AI and cloud technologies, using data-driven insights to shape business decisions and developing innovative solutions using AI services. You'll adopt and deploy machine learning models, analyse large datasets, and build AI-powered enhancements to third-party applications - all with real production ownership.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, test and deploy Agentic AI solutions on Azure, built for scale, reliability and performance


• Build Copilot Agents in M365 and Copilot Studio for production use


• Develop end-to-end ML and AI pipelines, from data extraction through to deployment


• Evaluate and select the right algorithms, LLMs, tools and techniques for each project


• Take technical ownership of AI strategy - how success is measured, and keeping methods current with industry benchmarks


• Collaborate with data, IT and cross-functional teams to bring AI solutions to life


• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear, compelling insights

What You'll Bring

• A degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics or a related field


• 5+ years' experience in data science with a focus on machine learning and AI


• Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (required)


• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate (required)


• Strong programming skills in SQL and Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)


• Hands-on experience with Azure AI and App services - Azure Machine Learning, AI Foundry, MLOps, Azure Functions and containers


• Proven experience building LLM-powered applications in production


• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills


• Comfort working in Agile environments, with a genuine passion for continuous learning
