Job summary

Xero is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, AI Enablement to help engineers across the organisation work with AI. You’ll own features from early experimentation through to production, including runbooks, monitoring and rollback considerations to keep services reliable.

You will influence the technical direction of an internal skills marketplace and AI distribution platform, collaborating with AWS, Microsoft and GitHub on early-access tech while aligning with engineering teams across Melbourne,

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience
• Experience building internal tools or platforms relied on by engineers
• Production discipline: runbooks, monitoring and rollback thinking

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI enablement tooling from experimentation to production, including runbooks and monitoring
• Shape the technical direction of internal AI tools and distribution platform
• Build internal AI tooling and marketplace for Xero's engineering org
• Collaborate with AWS, Microsoft and GitHub on early-access technology
