Job summary

Synechron in Sydney is seeking a Principal AI Architect / Agentic AI Engineer to lead design and development of enterprise-scale conversational AI and agentic solutions. This hands-on technical leader combines software engineering excellence with deep AI orchestration expertise.

You will drive architecture reviews, implement LLM‑based workflows, and collaborate with business and product teams to deliver secure, scalable AI systems while championing governance and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

Experience designing and building AI, Agentic AI, or Conversational AI applications.
Strong experience with: Intent classification and NLU.
Agent orchestration and workflow automation.
API and tool integrations.
Human escalation workflows.
Enterprise application architecture.
Strong engineering, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Hands‑on experience with modern software development and cloud‑native architectures.

Responsibilities

Design and architect Agentic AI and Conversational AI solutions for enterprise use cases.
Build intelligent AI agents with orchestration, tool integrations, decision‑making workflows, and human escalation.
Develop and optimize LLM‑powered applications leveraging RAG, retrieval systems, and knowledge bases.
Lead engineering design, architecture reviews, and technical delivery across AI initiatives.
Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure AI solutions.
Define best practices for AI governance, evaluation, observability, and responsible AI.
