Job summary

Culture Amp is hiring a Senior Applied AI Engineer to join our Frontier team in Sydney. You will build agentic AI capabilities, design multi-agent architectures, and orchestrate data pipelines across surveys, performance reviews, and 1-1 notes.

You’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle from prompt engineering to production monitoring. You’ll work closely with product, design and people science to ensure solutions scale and stay responsible.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience taking ML/AI systems to production.
• Hands-on experience with knowledge graphs and graph databases (e.g. Neo4j, Neptune).
• Production LLM evaluation and observability: LLM-as-judge, eval datasets, human-in-the-loop labelling, scoring against thresholds, plus tracing and production monitoring (e.g. Langfuse, LangSmith).
• Experience in designing and scaling production-grade multi-agentic systems (orchestration, prompt and context engineering, RAG, memory, agent architectures)
• Full stack software development experience, ideally Python, React, PGVector
• Strong software engineering fundamentals - you write clean, tested, maintainable code.
• Proven ability to instruct and delegate complex workflows to autonomous agents, building feedback loops to ensure reliable action.
• Hands-on experience designing and integrating data pipelines - moving data across systems with security and robustness.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate agentic AI features and frameworks for real-world use cases.
• Orchestrate data pipelines and integrations involving workplace data into coherent context views.
• Build and manage memory across sessions and graphs tied to user profiles.
• Develop and evaluate GraphRAG or Knowledge Graph approaches for scalable retrieval.
• Own prompt engineering, evaluation at scale, and monitoring with actionable feedback.
• Collaborate with product, design and People Science to ensure scalable, responsible AI.
