Job summary

Alteryx is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to serve as the technical lead for enterprise and partner-led opportunities. You will partner with account teams to map strategies, run discovery workshops, and design scalable analytics and AI solutions using the Alteryx One Platform.

You will deliver compelling technical engagements, run POCs and demos, and guide customers through cloud integrations, governance, and AI adoption. Travel up to 60% is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solution Consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
• Demonstrated success supporting enterprise software sales cycles and complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities.
• Strong understanding of AI, analytics, BI, data engineering, automation, and data science concepts.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and analytics platforms such as Alteryx, Python, R, Spark, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing solutions on cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery, Redshift, or Synapse.
• Familiarity with GenAI/AgenticAI technologies and frameworks.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and executive audiences.
• Experience leading workshops, technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Strong consultative, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel regionally up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for enterprise and partner-led sales opportunities throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop account strategies and drive technical win plans.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with executives, architects, and data leaders.
• Lead discovery workshops to understand business challenges and analytics maturity.
• Guide customers in designing scalable analytics, automation, and AI solutions leveraging the Alteryx One Platform.
• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and executive briefings tailored to customer needs.
• Design and execute proofs-of-concept, pilots, and technical evaluations that show measurable business value.
• Develop solution architectures integrating Alteryx with cloud platforms and enterprise apps.
• Educate customers on AI, governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Stay current on analytics, cloud, data management, and AI trends.
