Job summary

UNSW is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead Health & Safety Advisory services across faculties and divisions. The role reports to the Head of Health & Safety Operations and will drive embedding of a new operating model, resource alignment and performance governance to ensure high-quality safety support university-wide.

The position is based at Kensington on-site in Sydney with hybrid working options, offering a substantial remuneration package and a 17% superannuation contribution plus

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading operational, advisory, project delivery or professional services teams.
• Proven capability in service provision across complex risk assessment, incident management and investigation, assurance activities, consultation, and the design and implementation of risk mitigation solutions.
• Experience establishing or improving service delivery frameworks, governance structures and operational processes.
• Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, capability development and performance management.
• Experience managing competing priorities, resources and service demand in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 13 Health & Safety Advisors and support faculties, divisions and operations.
• Embed a new operating model and support organisational change.
• Ensure advisory services are resourced and allocated to Health & Safety Partners.
• Monitor demand, metrics and stakeholder feedback to drive improvement.
• Governance, workflow management and reporting through systems and processes.
• Build collaborative relationships across academic, operational and professional services.
