Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a human resources specialist to advise on recruitment and selection within the youth detention stream. The role involves engaging with executives and applicants to deliver culturally appropriate recruitment strategies.

You will manage talent attraction activities, partner with internal and external stakeholders, and support workforce diversity initiatives while maintaining accurate HR records. A Blue Card is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver contemporary culturally appropriate advice and consulting services to executives and applicants relating to recruitment and selection for roles within the youth detention stream of the Department.
• Facilitate community engagement and talent attraction activities with a view to manage portfolios of clients, applicants and locations to fill vacancies in youth detention centres.
• Build professional and productive working partnerships with a portfolio of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate quality service delivery, practice and outcomes.
• Work closely with other areas to contribute to initiatives that enable the growth of a diverse and culturally capable workforce.
• Prepare reports and other correspondence related to human resource matters and issues, and ensure accurate records are maintained.
