NSW Health seeks an Administration Officer Level 6 to support the Respiratory and Sleep Medicine department at Prince of Wales Hospital. The occupant of this position will assist the Head of Department in management of a busy clinical service, and to direct the other departmental administrative staff.
The position holder ensures the provision of a high standard of clinical and administrative support services including but not limited to confidential document preparation, agenda and minute preparation, corporate resources management, human resource documentation, as well as assistance with the preparation of policies and procedures in a timely, patient-focused and resource-efficient manner.
To meet the needs of the Head of Department, as required, by assuming responsibility for specific projects, tasks and activities within the department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and external as required. To provide assistance with the corporate software systems at a reference level within the department.
Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care.
