Job summary

AustralianSuper is seeking an experienced actuary to join the Actuarial Consulting team. The role blends modelling, governance and stakeholder management to deliver reliable insights for members.

You will lead modelling initiatives, ensure compliance with the Model Risk Management standard, and translate complex results for senior leaders. Flexible, collaborative environment with a strong risk culture is offered.

Qualifications

• Professional actuarial qualification (FIAA or AIAA).
• Experience in superannuation or financial services is preferred.
• Strong modelling, data analysis and programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial modelling and analysis for items like Lifetime Value of a Member.
• Model forecasting and reserve modelling (ORFR and Trustee Risk Reserve).
• Translate outputs into clear insights for senior executives and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain robust models using Excel, Python and other tools.
• Ensure methodologies and outputs align with business requirements.
• Support ad hoc modelling for market events, budgets and strategy reviews.
• Analyze membership to inform strategic objectives and growth.
• Escalate delivery risks, issues and resource constraints to management.
