Job summary

Pacific Life Re Australia is seeking an experienced Manager of Actuarial Analytics & Insights to lead the production and interpretation of results across US GAAP, IFRS17, LAGIC, EC, and BMA bases for the Australian entity. You’ll coordinate with CA teams, DBS, and Finance to ensure alignment and accuracy in reporting and planning.

The role emphasizes modelling excellence, stakeholder communication, and driving continuous improvement within a transformed operating model as part of Project Unify.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with life insurance/life reinsurance experience is required.
• Strong modelling and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, analyse and summarise actuarial model outputs across all bases for Financial Reporting and Business Plan.
• Support capital management processes including calibration of internal target surplus and key annual reports.
• Develop actuarial methodology across reporting bases and test changes for new deals or changes to structures.
• Produce controls and validation reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of results.
• Oversee, provide guidance and review of results from other members of the Australia AA&I function.
• Maintain relationships with CA teams and DBS functions.
• Support financial impact assessment of changes to actuarial assumptions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Project Unify deliverables.
• Specify actuarial model requirements for new developments and testing.
