Avopiling, a leading Australian civil and ground engineering company, is seeking a Senior Accounts Officer / Assistant Accountant in Sydney. You will own processes end-to-end, write and maintain procedures, and support AR, payroll, BAS, and fixed asset management within a multi-entity framework.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Australian experience in a Senior Accounts Officer/Assistant Accountant role.
• Experience in construction industry preferred.
• Ability to own end-to-end processes and write procedure documents.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail; hands-on reconciliations and month-end experience.
• Good GST/BAS knowledge; meet fixed deadlines.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance highly regarded; multi-entity environment advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Write and maintain procedure documents for your own processes and the team's.
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations across several entities.
• Process and reconcile corporate credit cards, petty cash and employee reimbursements.
• Support AR, payroll-related invoices, super and PAYG payments.
• Update progress claims and enter monthly AR claims.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Assist with preparing BAS.
• Cover team members during leave and peak periods.
• Ad hoc tasks and projects as the business needs them.
