Job summary

Recruitment Net is seeking a Junior Accounts Officer in Sydney CBD to join a small, friendly team. The role offers a pathway to develop accounting and payroll skills with a supportive manager and a culture that values work-life balance.

You will work with the Shared Services team on Accounts Receivable, payroll support, invoicing, and general finance administration, with regular use of Excel and strong teamwork as a core requirement.

Qualifications

• No minimum years of experience required.
• Studying towards accounting qualification is nice to have.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle Accounts Receivable tasks.
• Provide Payroll support as needed.
• Prepare Invoices and related finance documents.
• Perform Excel-based financial administration and general duties.
• Communicate with colleagues across the business.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

You’ll work closely with the Shared Services team and get exposure to a range of accounting activities, including:

Accounts Receivable

Payroll support

Invoicing

Excel and general finance administration

Communicating with people across the business

Building relationships with internal stakeholders

What are we looking for?

You don't need to have years of experience. We're looking for someone who is:

Confident communicating with people at all levels

Friendly, approachable and comfortable building relationships

Detail-oriented and organised

Comfortable using Excel

Experienced in accounting, AP/AR or payroll

Positive, proactive and keen to learn

Studying towards, or already holding, an accounting qualification (nice to have, but not essential)
