TwoScots Recruitment is partnering with a boutique Australian accounting firm to recruit a Senior Accountant/Manager for Business Services & Tax. You will work with high-net-worth families, ASX-listed and large private clients, delivering accounting, tax and advisory services from brand-new Melbourne offices.

Hybrid working arrangements, strong career development and a supportive culture are offered. 5+ years' experience and CA qualification are desired.

Competenze

• 5+ years' experience in Business Services & Tax within an Australian accounting practice.
• CA qualification with relevant degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, financial reporting and compliance.

Mansioni

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients including high-net-worth individuals and large private entities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and other tax compliance requirements.
• Provide technical tax advice and support clients with accounting and business needs.
• Review work, delegate responsibilities and mentor junior accountants; lead engagements with senior leaders.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity is available for a technically strong Senior Accountant or Manager to join an established Business Services & Tax team.

Working closely with experienced Managers, Associate Principals and Partners, you'll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, providing high-quality accounting, tax and business advisory services.

The role offers the opportunity to work across different client groups, build meaningful relationships and mentor junior accountants, with responsibilities tailored to your experience and career aspirations.

DUTIES

Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth family groups, large private businesses and corporate entities.

Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and other tax compliance requirements.

Provide technical tax advice, identify issues and support clients with their accounting and business needs.

Review work, delegate responsibilities and mentor junior accountants, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Work closely with senior leaders to manage client engagements, deadlines, workflow and continuous improvement initiatives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Approximately 5+ years' experience in Business Services & Tax within an Australian accounting practice.

CA qualified, with a relevant degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business.

Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Experience managing client relationships, reviewing work and mentoring junior team members; formal people management experience advantageous for Manager-level candidates.

Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and proficiency in Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Office.
