LINK is seeking a Senior Accountant / Client Manager (Business Services) in Brisbane to own a portfolio of SMEs, high net worth families and structures. You will be the client’s primary contact, driving deliverables with offshore support and leveraging Xero, Karbon, Fathom and Claude.

This role emphasizes client advisory over pure compliance, with a real focus on year-round tax planning, BAS and growth strategies. Hybrid work arrangements are available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification and AU public practice experience
• Ability to explain Division 7A loans to clients
• Comfort reviewing others’ work and giving clear feedback
• Curiosity about AI and systems, or already using them
• Willingness to roll up sleeves when the work is urgent

Responsibilities

• Hold a portfolio of SMEs, families, and trusts with fixed-fee engagements
• Set the standard for year-end work prepared by your PH CPA
• Run BAS, tax planning, check-ins, and annual meetings for clients
• Present the numbers and explain their meaning to clients
• Identify and deliver advisory work: tax planning, structuring, cashflow, growth
• Collaborate with Directors on client projects
• Utilise Xero, Karbon, Fathom and Claude in client work

Senior Accountant / Client Manager (Business Services)

Your own portfolio of SMEs turning over $1m to $10m, high net worth families and the group structures that come with them. A dedicated Philippines-based CPA preparing the compliance. Directors who back you to advise.

At LINK we call this role Client Advisor. On paper it is a senior accountant, supervisor or client manager. To the client, you are “my accountant”: the person they call before they sign the lease, buy the ute or pay themselves a dividend.

This is not a compliance role with advisory sprinkled on top. You will be in front of clients from your first month, and you will be accountable for the relationship.

Full time preferred. Part time considered for the right person.

LINK has been going since 2012 and is now 45 people across Brisbane and the Philippines, with accounting, bookkeeping, lending, wealth, property, marketing and creative under one roof (link.com.au). The Advisors team (linkadvisors.com.au) is 5 accountants in Fortitude Valley and 5 in the Philippines, so your clients can be referred across the group without leaving the building.

Xero, Karbon and Fathom run the practice, and Claude sits on every desk for research, analysis and drafting. The compliance load is carried by systems and your offshore CPA so your hours go to clients. If you already use AI in your work, you’ll fit in quickly. If you’re curious and want to learn, we’ll teach you.

What you will do

Hold a portfolio of small and medium business groups (companies, trusts, individuals) and own every deliverable in the fixed-fee engagement

Set the standard for year-end work prepared by your PH CPA: review, finish, sign off

Run the year-round rhythm: BAS, tax planning, check-ins, the annual meeting

Present the numbers and explain what they mean for the client

Spot and deliver the advisory work: tax planning, structuring, Division 7A, cashflow, growth

Work with the Directors on client projects

Live in Xero, Karbon, Fathom and Claude

What you bring

CA or CPA

Four or more years of client-facing public practice experience in Australia

You can explain a Division 7A loan to a client in two minutes

Comfortable reviewing other people’s work and giving clear, kind feedback

Curious about AI and systems, or already using them

Happy to roll up your sleeves when the work needs to get out

What you get

Base salary of $100,000 to $140,000 plus super, depending on experience

Gross profit share on the performance of your portfolio

Quarterly incentive based on additional fees generated

CA or CPA study paid, with study days per subject, plus regular in-house technical training

Fortitude Valley office with one day a week from home, flexible hours, close to public transport and parking available

Monthly paid Finish-Early Fridays
